Metal Hurlant Special Daft Punk - Exclusive Softcover

Metal Hurlant Special Daft Punk - Exclusive Softcover Edition

The future will not be silent.
And neither will we. Turn up the volume, Metal Hurlant is taking on Daft Punk.

Since 1975, Metal Hurlant has explored machines, altered bodies, and the future through a kaleidoscope of comics and culture. In this authorized special issue, creators take Daft Punk’s music, imagery, and mythology into their own hands—be they metal or flesh.

Each new short comic alchemizes a fragment of time in the duo’s narrative—sometimes directly, sometimes through metaphor, and sometimes through their own personal lexicon. Expect sensual science fiction, electronic romance, and machines that dream, alongside two vintage, rock-infused stories from masters Mœbius and Philippe Druillet—all punctuated by a slew of articles unpacking the lore, technology, and revolution of Daft Punk from those who know best.

Cover by Warren Fu and Cedric Hervet, the duo behind the cover art and illustrations for Random Access Memories.

272 full-color, pulsating pages.

With work by Laura Pérez, Malachi Ward, Matthew Sheean, Édouard Cour, Jonathan Djob Nkondo, and Zep, plus classic stories by Mœbius and Philippe Druillet.
